😼 A FRIENDLY WARNING FROM THE CATE HOUSE 😼

The crypto world moves fast, and scammers move even faster. We love our community and want to make sure you keep your assets safe. Please read this guide carefully to avoid common traps and fake accounts impersonating CATE.

The Golden Rule

NEVER share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone. No admin, moderator, or member of the CATE team will EVER ask for them. If someone asks, they are a scammer. Period.

  • DMing you first to "help" with a transaction
  • Asking you to "validate" or "rectify" your wallet on a suspicious site
  • Creating fake "Airdrop" sites that require a wallet connection
  • Impersonating official social media profiles with slightly different handles

Things That Do Not Exist

CATE Technical Support DMs • CATE Wallet Validation Sites • CATE "Bonus" Token Giveaways • Admin requests for funds

Where CATE Actually Lives

If any of these details change, always verify the latest addresses independently through official CATE sources before using them.

Telegram Privacy Settings

Settings > Privacy and Security > Groups & Channels > Set 'Who can add me' to 'My Contacts'. Stops random scammers adding you to fake groups.

Stay vigilant, CATE community. Your safety is your responsibility.

THE ONE RULE

The CATE Team, Mods, and CMs will NEVER DM you first. If someone messages you claiming to be support, it is a scam.

No one from the official team needs your seed phrase, private keys, or needs you to "validate" your wallet on a random site.

Fake Wallet Validation
Fake Airdrops & Claims
  • Scammers will send you to a professional-looking site to "connect" or "sync" your wallet.
  • They will ask for your 12 or 24-word recovery phrase.
  • Once they have it, they drain your funds instantly.
  • You may see tags on X or Telegram promising a "New CATE Airdrop" or "Reward Distribution".
  • These links lead to malicious contracts that steal your Solana upon signing.
Impersonator DMs
Stealth Phishing Links
  • Accounts mimicking admin names and profile pictures will offer "help" with transaction errors or wallet issues.
  • Always check the username handle carefully against the official group admin list.
  • Links often lead to sites with typos (e.g., catecon instead of catecoin).
  • These sites act as mirrors to phish for information or wallet connections.
  • The following DO NOT exist and are ALWAYS scams:
  • NO official CATE support team that DMs you first
  • NO 'validation' or 'synchronization' sites for your wallet
  • NO 'double your money' giveaway bots
  • NO surprise airdrops requiring you to connect to unknown sites

BE VIGILANT. BE SAFE. PROTECT YOUR CATE.
